Tuition Payment & Missed lessons

1. Students will have their own method books and other supplements which will be suggested by the teacher and paid for by the student.
2. Please arrive to your appointment on time.  We try to remain flexible and accommodating, but if you are late, we cannot guarantee you will receive your full lesson time.
3. Lessons are preplanned and prepaid on a monthly basis.  Students will receive an invoice on the first of each month detailing the schedule and billing.  Please pay your invoice during your first lesson of the month or within 7 days of receiving.
4. Tuition is not refundable, however, if a student knows they will be unavailable for one or more lessons for the upcoming month, they may cancel the lesson before the invoice is sent and they will not be billed for it.  There is no limit on planned cancellations. Students will be allowed one unplanned cancellation every 6 months.  The cancelled lesson will be reflected as a discount in the next month’s billing cycle.  
   

In the event that the teacher needs to cancel a lesson, the student will be refunded, which will be reflected as a discount in the next month’s bill.

Teacher will also offer virtual lessons in place of in-person lessons in the event of illness or other reasons.  Alternatively, a student can send me a video and I will provide feedback.

5. If a timeslot is empty for more than 2 weeks in a row, it may be released and offered to other students. 

Withdraw

1. Please provide 2 weeks notice if you plan to withdraw from lessons completely.

No lessons will be held or rescheduled for the following holidays:

• Memorial Day
• July Fourth
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas
• New Year’s Day

For all lessons, in-home or in-studio, a parent or guardian must be remain at the location (students under 18 years old). Chapin Music is not liable for any personal belongings, loss, injury, claim or damages that may arise.
