Meet Instructor
Ms. Jung Bennett, Cello and Piano instructor
Chapin Music was started by Jung Bennett in 2022, located in Chapin, South Carolina. Her expertise is in Cello and Piano. Mrs. Bennett developed a passion for music at a young age and has been immersed in music education and performance for the last 15 years. After graduating from University of South Carolina, Mrs. Bennett worked for full-time as a music teacher and strings instructor at a public charter school (K-12). On weekends/summer breaks she typically performs for weddings or any live performances. She also contracted with local music studios to provide private lessons prior to starting her own music studio. Mrs. Bennett has taught students from age 5 to 62. Mrs. Bennett believes music is for everyone, of all ages, abilities, and styles.
2007-2011:
– Earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Music at the National Taiwan University of Arts.
– Principal cello position in the orchestra of Taiwan National University.
– Cello coach for many elementary, middle schools and substitute coach for National Chiayi University
– Music teacher in Middle campus, Chiayi, Taiwan
2012-2015:
– Earned her Master’s degree in music performance at University of South Carolina in 2015
– Graduate assistant in the USC and principal cello in the US Symphony orchestra from 2014 to 2015
2015- 2022:
– Full-time as a music teacher and strings instructor at a public charter school (K-12).
– Earned Teacher of the Month at public charter school.
